Pumpkin Patch

I love the Fall season...it means carving pumpkins, pumpkin spice lattes, colored leaves, pumpkin desserts, fire in the wood burning stove, and the pumpkin patch!!  This year we took some of our friends from school to our favorite pumpkin patch...Bob's Corn and Pumpkin Farm!  Here are some pics.....

The kids had a ton of fun feeding and playing with the horses on the farm.  They were super friendly ...even gave Luke a big kiss!

Our Little Get-Away

Last week Matt and I took a short trip to Kirkland (30 minutes from home).  Partly for a pre-birthday celebration and partly just because it had been a really long time since we have gone away just the two of us.  It was only one night...but we enjoyed it immensely.  A friend of ours got us a great deal at a fancy hotel right on Lake Washington.  We got to kayak, have a sunset picnic by the water, sleep in, try out a new coffee shop, and go for a long jog together in the late morning.  It was wonderful!!!  Below are some pictures from our sunset picnic.  Feeling thankful!!

Summer HEE Park Days

Over the summer we got together with our school (HEE) friends each Thursday for Park Day.  Each week we went to a different park or beach, and spent hours laughing, running, talking, swimming, and playing!  It was a great way to stay connected with our friends over the summer!!  Here are a few pictures from our summer park days.

Oregon Coast Trip

Last week we went with my sister & her family, and my Dad & Joyce to Seaside for two nights.  The weather wasn't great...but that didn't stop us from having fun!  Our hotel also had a pool so the kids spent endless hours swimming!  Here are a few pics from our time on the beach....

Wedding Fun

Some good friends of ours (Jimmy and Wendy) got married this summer, and invited our whole family to be a part of their celebration.  What a honor to take part in this special day!  

Their wedding was outside over looking the golf course.  It was a perfect beautiful day!

5th Annual Neighborhood Block Party

We are so thankful for our neighborhood!  We had another great block party this summer, and enjoyed laughs and fun conversations with new and old neighbors.  At the beginning of the summer we got some new neighbors that have three children.  Our kids have enjoyed lots of time with them over the summer!! I feel very grateful to be where we are!

Visit from Grandpa & Grandma

At the beginning of August we got to spend about a week with Matt's parents.  It is always special to have them here, and the kids enjoy lots of quality grandparent time!  We did a few new things with them, and we kept some of our favorite traditions - like going to the Spaghetti Factory or shopping with Grandma.  This time Grandpa did some inside painting for us (he is gifted in this).  He painted the family room and Luke's room!  We were very blessed, as Matt and I rarely get to any painting in our house!  One day we also went to Lake Washington to one of the beaches.  We ate lunch, watched the kids swim, and relaxed while observing the beautiful scenery!  What special memories!  Here are some pictures from our lake time.
