Spring & My Mom
I love Spring (minus all the rain)! Maybe I've said this every year, but we are truly having a beautiful Spring in Seattle.
This year it has seemed different though as I have not gotten to share it with my Mom. My Mom loved Spring too. She enjoyed seeing the flowers come out on the trees, and taking walks in the park to take in the beauty. I remember her sharing with me that her tulips were about to come out. She truly soaked in the splendor of this time of the year!
I decided to get out and take some Spring pictures this year. I am not a photographer, nor do I have a fancy camera, but it was still fun!
I have dedicated this post to my Mom who loved Spring, and who passed on to me the joy and appreciation for the beauty of God's creation!

6 Years Old
On March 31st Luke and Lana turned 6 years old! A much awaited day for them. They love that they have their birthday together, of course they don't know any different. Luke said to me several times, "It isn't my birthday, it's Lana and my birthday". They are fun to watch because they are so different. Luke is passionate, quick, out-going, and complex. Lana is easy-going, quiet, kind, and simple. Yet, they share a love and friendship with each other that is so unique and precious.
The morning of their birthday I took them to Krispy Kreme Donuts where they not only ate sugar filled donuts, but also got to watch them be made (which honesty makes you almost not want to eat them).
Earlier in the week we had asked them both what they wanted to do for their birthday. First they said they wanted to go ice skating (they both love ice skating), but later it unanimously changed to Chuck E Cheese. So, we packed up our patience and headed to Chuck E Cheese that night. The kids had a ball of fun running from game to game trying to get as many tickets as they could win. It wasn't all that bad until the end when I came away with a headache and a crying & tired 3 year old.
Here are some pictures of their birthday:
Well....Luke had to have pink cupcakes this year. He didn't seem to mind. It still tastes yummy!
Showing off some of their personalities.

Lana playing a car game at Chuck E Cheese.
Luke got a FBI pretend playset for his birthday. Notice the glasses and Jeffrey in handcuffs. Hmmm..maybe that wasn't such a great gift idea. =)
