Kindergarten Reunion

 

We had a party at our house over the weekend with a few of Asha's friends that she had back in Kindergarten (mini reunion). We surprised them by having their teacher come too. What a blast! She is no doubt The Worlds Best Kindergarten Teacher!!!

 

Since Fall is almost over I had to post a couple Fall pictures that I took the other day in our neighborhood. I don't remember it being this beautiful last year!

Beautiful Day For The Beach

After a harder than normal morning, I decided to load the kids in the van and take them to the beach. It was a beautiful day for the beach! Blue sky, unseasonably warm, sun perfectly reflecting on the mountains, and we pretty much had the whole beach to ourselves. It did help to lift my spirits a bit! Here are a few pictures from our time. With a day like today it's hard to believe it is the end of October!

The Hole!

 

 

The first photo is of our youngest son in a hole that continued to get deeper and deeper next to our house. Our kids saw it as their sandbox and just kept digging and digging. Finally, we had to put our foot down, as we thought it was probably not very good for the foundation of our house. Yesterday we filled it with dirt, and found a new place for the kids to dig away from the house. I don't get much done around the house these days, but when I do it leaves me with a very accomplished feeling (that's why I had to share these pictures with you). Yippee!

Craigslist Blues

Today I have been dealing with Craigslist! If you have done things on Craigslist before, you know what I mean when I say "dealing with". It takes a lot of time and patience. We were trying to find a new dresser for my daughter's room, and rid ourselves of a couple of items in our home. Between the endless emails and the no shows we still haven't gotten rid of one thing! BUT, we did find a dresser. Check it out! My oldest daughter was very persistent that she wanted this one and no other. Can't blame her it does have quite the artsy flare. hee hee!

Leaf Hunt

Today I took the three younger kids on a leaf hunt around our neighborhood. We each took a bag and tried to find the most colorful leaves that we could. They are just gorgeous around our area! I had planned to come back and do a leaf craft with them, well that never really happened, but the leaf hunt was fun anyway! Lana filled her bag with lots of yellow leaves, I liked the red ones, Luke mostly gravitated to the big sticks, and Jeffrey wanted rocks. Well, I guess not everyone got into the leaves. Fall is such a fun time of the year! It makes the rain bearable and gray clouds seem colorful. Happy Fall!

What A Hunk!

Tonight I watched a home video clip with my In-Laws of my husband when he was in high school (17 years old). What a hunk! I didn't know my husband in high school, so it was fun for me to to see a small window into his life back then. He seemed like a different person than the man I know now, even his voice sounded unfamiliar and different. Yet he still has some of the same mannerisms. Which caused us much laughter! Tears of laughter, in fact. Sometimes I wish I would have known him back then. What fun memories we could have shared. Well, maybe I'll figure out how to post part of that video on my blog. What a kick! =) Thankfully I don't have any videos of me in high school!
