Last weekend Asha and I volunteered at the Seattle Rock n' Roll Marathon. We were up at 4:00am to to be downtown by 5:00am!! We worked hard for 9 1/2 hours!! I was so impressed with my hard working daughter. She did a great job....and did not complain even when we both felt completely worn out at the end of the day! Our first job was to man the main information booth. Asha did a great job handing out t-shirts, and I answered about 10 billion questions...... "Where is the gear check-in?" to "Where is the Beer garden?" (seriously!). There were almost 20,000 runners....so you can imagine the amount of questions. Craziness!! After things slowed down at the information booth they sent us to the finish line to welcome in the last 100 or so runners. We handed out water and cold towels. I was amazed by one man that came in near the end...he was 80 years old and ran/walked a full 26 miles in just under seven hours!! I hope I can do that when I am 80!!! It was very inspiring! Over all...it was a great experience! Maybe we'll do it again next year ...or maybe I will be running in it! =)

So this is what it looks like down town at 5:00am!
Asha working hard!!
By the way....we loved our free t-shirts!!
