Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day began with chocolate milk with heart shaped straws, sweet cards from Grandpa & Grandma, pink colored cereal, and chocolate 'I love you' hearts. I also put together a little Valentine's Day school packet complete with math, poetry, cross word puzzles, and coloring. That was our school today since we had other plans! We went with Lana's girl scout troop to a retirement home and handed out Valentines and sang songs. The people there were so easy to love on. I met a 93 year old woman who was amazingly bright, cheerful and beautiful. As I held her wrinkled hand I couldn't help but feel love just flowing from her. What a great time!

"There is no limit to God's love. It is without measure and its depth cannot be sounded."

The kids are really into Star Wars right now...here Asha is coloring a Valentine's Star Wars sheet.

Aaahhh...the sugar high!

Lana passing out her Valentines at the retirement home.

Dinner was whole wheat chocolate chip heart shaped pancakes. I think they tasted better than they looked. Can't forget the bacon too! =)

Wow, you really went all out! :) Good for you. I love that you went to a retirement home. We did that in the past with MOPs and it was such a good reminder for us of the lonely people who need some cheer.
