Update On My Mom

As some of you have read in my past blogs, my Mom is in the throws of receiving chemo and radiation for a cancerous tumor. This past weekend I had the privilege of spending some time with her in Oregon. It was priceless! Thanks so much to my husband who let me get away for a few days while he watched the kids. I was able to go with her to her chemotherapy and radiation appointments on Friday where she got to remove her chemo bag for the weekend. What a nice break for her! My Mom seemed radiant and upbeat! We are trying to take one day at a time, but for now she seems to be functioning fairly well (with a bit less energy - to be expected). We got to take walks together, watch some fun “girly” movies (one being "Becoming Jane" - great movie!), have a few laughs, and even do some shopping. I am excited that she has already gone through one full week of her treatments. Only 6 more to go! Thanks to everyone who has been praying!
