This was our first year to have a block party on our street. This is worthy of a blog post, because my wonderful husband was the head coordinator of this event! So, of course, I have to brag about what a great job he did. The first time you want to actually block your street off takes quite a bit of paper work and phone calls. Then you have to make up invitations and take them around to all the neighbors and coordinate all the food. Then the party is ready!! We had a great time hanging out with neighbors we knew and some we had never met before. The weather was perfect and the kids had lots of fun riding bikes & running all over the street (since it was totally blocked off - meaning no cars could come through). Since everyone had so much fun we hope to do it year after year! Yeah! Way to go Matt and everyone else who took part!Here are just a few pictures. If you notice almost all of them are of the kids! =) I didn't get many pictures of everyone else.
